NEW RARE COFFEE

This regional blend is a beautiful representation of Guatemala’s diverse coffee-growing regions. We combined fully-washed coffees from Huehuetenango, known for their vibrant character, with the balanced, full-bodied profiles of Nuevo Oriente. Grown at elevations between 1,300 and 2,000 masl, these high-altitude conditions and dry winds create the perfect environment for slow cherry maturation, resulting in a sweet, structured cup. Expect notes of baker’s chocolate, brown sugar, and nougat, complemented by a crisp acidity that shows up as fresh green apple.

The blend comes from smallholder farmers—most with less than two hectares—who grow coffee under shade trees, supporting biodiversity and sustainable practices. After harvest, the coffees are fully washed, a process that highlights clarity and brightness. This lot was milled at El Trebol and sorted to European Preparation standards, ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) coffee, grown above 1,200 masl, these beans matured slowly, developing dense, nutrient-rich seeds that translate into sweetness and complexity in the cup. It’s a stellar example of Guatemalan terroir at its best.
